The vintage watch market is so hot right now, and vintage Tudor’s are certainly no exception. The Tudor Ranger is a particularly rare vintage Tudor and is highly prized by collectors. This particular watch was sent to me from a collector who had owned it for many years but done nothing with it.
The crystal was cracked and moisture had entered the watch. The luminous paint on the dial and hands was destroyed and nothing could be done. The movement was also affected by the moisture. I was able to remove the rust from the movement and keep as many parts as original as possible. I was also able to repaint the luminous compound on the dial and hands with a period-correct vintage lume. You can see the results of the restoration below.
